It is with heavy heart that the MP, Constituency Chairman, the Executive body and the entire membership of the NDC of the Hohoe constituency wish to extend our sincere sympathy to Togbega Tsede Atakorah iv the paramount Chief of Alavanyo traditional area, the Queen Mothers, the entire Alavanyo Traditional Area especially Dzogbedze and Kpeme and all the bereaved families for the loss of lives.
The sad event which occurred on Sunday, 13th of January, 2019 was very regrettable and should have never happened.
The strength of this Constituency is the peace and unity we have always enjoyed.
The recent occurrence in Alavanyo Dzogbedze and Kpeme call to question the professionalism and lack of human feeling of some unscrupulous people in the security enforcement agencies, especially around our area here when they know caution would have been the best solution to this issue.
We believe that dialogue and patience would have done the magic of peaceful solution to this problem.
We wish to assure the Alavanyo Traditional area and all other communities in the constituency of the party's continues support. We will do our utmost best to promote human dignity and prevent human right abuses in any form. We will show leadership and will support in anyway possible in this matter.
